Wheather is nice, nothing better to do, ahh why not..\u00a0<br \/>\nThis was the first time I ever saw one of these new Stelvio&#8217;s. OH MY GOD that thing sure is pretty in red!! It&#8217;s pretty in Black!! It&#8217;s superb in white!!<\/p>\n<p>Riding impression from an EV rider;<br \/>\nSo I got the keys and started it like you start the B1100, with a push on the button. The new engine purrs nicely, exhaust sounds great. All sorts of new sounds coming from this 8V engine, it&#8217;s whining sounds a bit like it has a supercharger. I get on the bike (6&#8217;4&#8243; 36&#8243;inseam &amp; 220 lbs). The ergos are just perfect. I need to get used to the off-road handle bars but they&#8217;re OK after 30 minutes. Mirrors are to small and odd shaped, very impractical. It&#8217;s has tons of torque, starting from idle. At 5500rpm a whole new stable of ponies is released and the bike really goes like..ehhh well ehh. FAST! Before I knew it I was doing 100mph in a matter of seconds. If they correct the mapping it should really be great. The mapping of the fuel injection was not correct so it ran rough between 3000-4000rpm. At this moment, slow riding is just not an option. Stuttering like you&#8217;re running out of fuel. This problem is solved real easy, you just open the throttle again, cause it&#8217;s more like a &#8220;happy button&#8221; and very very light. The gearbox is light and accurate, spotted no false neutrals.<\/p>\n<p>The bike handles like a sportsbike, very stable specially at high speeds. At low speeds it&#8217;s a light and agile as a 600 dual-sport. After one hour I found my self taking (long-) corners at speed in excess of +100mph. It holds it&#8217;s line perfectly with those upside down forks. I did not fiddle with suspension setting cause I saw no need. The brakes are a whole different story. Take your average EV goldline brakes and multiply by 2; very good stopping power! I like this de-linked setup. Th switches are back as they should be, horn at the bottom, turnsignals in the middle, displaymode button at the top. The display is similar to the Griso and fine in my opinion. Large digits inform me that I&#8217;m again in the 100mph+ region&#8230; The clutch in hydraulic and can be adjusted in various ways. Meanwhile the seat still feel great and like a small dual sport you can sit against the tank for even better slow speed handling. On the motorway 100mph is a great cruising speed and when you sit more toward the rear the seat gets wider and even more comfortable. I could easily do a whole day on this bike.<\/p>\n<p>Fit and finish leaves some stuff to be desired. If you look below the dashboard you can see all the wires etc and it looks ehhh, not as it should be. They should have covered that up with some more plastic. Same goes for the silly plate welded to the inside of the exhaust, WHY?! Looking at the front of the new lovely engine you&#8217;ll see a strange black circular thingy, the horn. It&#8217;s look as misplaced as a virgin at a hooker convention. Overall the bike of course looks stunning, even better than all the pictures that are circulating.
